Northern ReLoved exists to make second-hand shopping affordable again.
Donations are what make that possible.
When you pass along good, usable items, you’re not just clearing space — you’re helping keep prices low, support local families, and give quality items a second life in a way that actually makes sense.
Two Ways to Donate
1. Donate for ReLoved Reward Credits
If you have good, clean items you no longer need, you can submit them for review and receive ReLoved Reward Credits to use in our shop.
Credits are applied after items are received and inspected, based on condition, resale suitability, and current demand.
✔ Credits are store credit only
✔ Credits never expire
✔ Credits are not cash and cannot be negotiated
This option is perfect if you want to shop later or build up credits over time.

2. Pay It Forward with ReLoved Reward Credits
Not every item has to be about earning for yourself.
You can choose to pay it forward with your ReLoved Reward Credits.
Here’s how it works:
- Submit your good, clean items as usual
- Instead of keeping the credits, you can choose to:
- Gift them to a friend, neighbour, or family member
- Add them to the Northern ReLoved Community Pot to help someone else shop
Items connected to paid-forward credits may be:
- Added to the Northern ReLoved shop
- Used in community support efforts
- Passed along where they’re needed most
- Responsibly recycled if they’re not suitable for resale
ReLoved Rewards are not a charitable donation and do not generate tax receipts — they’re simply a way to help someone else access affordable second-hand goods.

What We Accept (Quick Overview)
We accept items that are:
✔ Clean, washed, and odor-free
✔ In good, usable condition
✔ Safe and appropriate for resale
Common accepted items include:
- Clothing (adult & youth)
- Shoes
- Linens and bedding
- Small décor and housewares
- Books (select types only)
- Craft and yarn supplies
- Accessories (bags, scarves, jewelry)
- Light “simple-fix” items (loose button, small seam repair)
Important: Some categories have specific rules (for example: books by type or era).

Important Things to Know Before Pickup or Drop-Off
- Submitting items does not guarantee credits
- Once items are picked up or dropped off, they cannot be returned
- Credit amounts are final and not negotiable
- Items not suitable for resale will be donated or responsibly recycled
- Credits are applied within 48–72 hours after inspection
This allows us to keep the system fair, affordable, and sustainable.
